EM2 Bridge

EM2 Bridge is how your existing firing controller connects into the PyroNext ecosystem. It reads the electrical pulses your controller already produces, tells the difference between a continuity check and a fire command, and keeps your controller's own continuity display working normally — all without any changes to the controller itself.

Scales with your firing system

Each EM2 Bridge box reads 36 channels from your existing controller. Need more? Chain up to four boxes together — 36, 72, 108, or 144 input channels — using the same simple connector on every box. No backplane, no special wiring, no configuration. Connect a box, and the system recognizes it automatically.

Each box shows its position in the chain on a simple always-visible display — box 1, box 2, and so on — so setup and troubleshooting are unambiguous in the field.

How it works

Your firing controller connects to EM2 Bridge exactly the way it would connect to your igniters — using a cable adapter matched to your controller's output style. Bridge reads the electrical pulse your controller sends and tells the difference between a routine continuity check and an actual fire command.

Reads your controller's native signal

No firmware, no configuration, no changes to your controller. Bridge reads the same electrical pulse your controller already produces to fire an igniter.

Distinguishes continuity from fire

A brief pulse pattern is recognized as a continuity check. A sustained pulse is recognized as a fire command. Your controller's normal continuity workflow keeps working exactly as it always has.

Feeds your controller's continuity display

Once Connect confirms good continuity downstream, Bridge presents a normal-looking connection back to your controller — so your controller's own continuity display shows exactly what you'd expect, with no false faults.

Built-in field safety

Bridge detects moisture on a firing chain instantly, on its own — independent of Connect, independent of network status. If a wet-chain condition is detected, Bridge reacts immediately and locally. That decision is also reported to Connect for redundant safety gating and clear operator messaging — two independent safety mechanisms, neither depending on the other to work.

Works with the controller you already own

EM2 Bridge has been tested with COBRA and Ignite, with additional systems in active testing. If your controller sends a standard electrical trigger pulse, Bridge can read it. Pair Bridge with the right cable adapter for your controller's connector style.
